Delicious Matcha Mousse Recipe | Easy Homemade Japanese Dessert!

Matcha is a traditional Japanese tea.

There are countless sweets and confections made with matcha in Japan.

The mousse is a mouthwatering, not-too-sweet dessert.

Matcha mousse is easy to make if you have matcha.

INGREDIENT

・10 g matcha powder( green tea powder)

・40 g granulated sugar

・5 g powdered gelatin

・2 tbsp cold water

・200cc Milk

・150cc fresh cream

Topping (Options)

・Whipped cream

・Red bean paste

・Matcha powder

Instructions

1. Sprinkle powdered gelatin in cold water to soften and set aside.
Note!! Do not pour water on gelatin.
2. Sift matcha into a bowl.
3. Add granulated sugar 
4. Stir to combine.
5. Add milk a little at a time to dissolve the matcha
6. mix well
7. Place in a saucepan over low heat.
Mix with a rubber spatula.
8. Turn off heat just before boiling.
9. Add the gelatin and mix.
10. Prepare a large bowl. Cover the bottom with ice water.
11. Add fresh cream and beat.
12. Stir into cream until thickened all over. Do not over mix.
13. Now stir the matcha over the heat, while applying ice water to the bottom of the matcha, to thicken it slightly.
14. Add the cream in two additions, mixing well each time. Scoop the mixture from the bottom and sides of the bowl.
15. Pour into containers and chill until firm.
16. Refrigerate for about 2 hours.
17. Add toppings to taste. Strawberries are also delicious on top.
